Melissa and John planned an intimate wedding ceremony with their closest friends and family at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Beaumont, Texas.
After the ceremony, their loved ones headed to Pappadeaux to prepare for a celebratory dinner while Melissa and John spent some time together taking wedding portraits in the beautiful Downtown Beaumont. This was one detail that was especially important to Melissa, and I loved that they intentionally made space for it in their day.
I have such a soft spot for intimate weddings like this. The ones where couples focus on what actually matters to them instead of feeling like they have to follow every wedding tradition.
And choosing a courthouse wedding doesn’t mean you have to skip all the parts that make a wedding day feel special.
You can still wear the dress you love, carry flowers, take bridal portraits, bring your closest people, plan a beautiful dinner afterward, and make time for just-married portraits together. Your ceremony may be intimate, but your wedding day can still feel intentional, romantic, and completely yours.
Melissa and John were incredibly intentional with both their day and their time. Their wedding was centered around the people they love, meaningful moments, and simply enjoying being together.
